I am a contemporary weaver with a studio in West Cork, Ireland: I weave unique, rustic homeware using sustainable materials. I am inspired by the simple forms often overlooked in nature. You can find my shop here

I have always been interested in working with my hands; from a very young age I was always crafting and drawing; as I got older and the pressures of life took its toll I moved away from my natural pull to creativity.
As I got older and my children were born I felt the pull towards creativity again.

During the era of Covid19 I found myself uninspired at home and so I started a personal learning project called “crafting my 5k” during this project I learnt about all the craft materials that were right outside my front door; and it was here that I stumbled upon twining and basketry; over the months; and as the world opened up again my skill gradually increased and I began exploring other sustainable materials.
Weaving grounds me in the present and quiets my busy mind; I love the simple pleasure and ritual of sitting down with textural fibres and creating interesting, organic shapes and forms. I love how versatile the technique of twining is.
