What you’ll explore:
Coiled Basketry (Sept 5): Discover the ancient art of coiling with natural raffia to create strong, beautiful baskets.
Cotton Basket Workshop (Sept 19): Learn twining with recycled cotton cords, making a soft, colourful key basket.
Twining Wall Hanging (Sept 26): Create a flat woven mandala-style wall hanging using twining techniques and waxed linen.
Mariposa Stitch Wall Hanging (Oct 3): Progress your weaving with the elegant Mariposa stitch, working with raffia or waxed linen to make an organic wall piece.
Sculptural Basketry (Oct 10): Explore free-form intuitive weaving with paper string to craft unique sculptural forms.
